Talladega Superspeedway Tickets
One of the best known courses on the NASCAR circuit is the Talledega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama. Built in the 1960s, the track is 2.66 miles long with four turns. This makes it the longest oval track in the Sprint Cup Series. The complex originally cost around $4 million to construct. Talladega's 175,000 spectator seats allow its races to be some of the best attended races in the United States. Other major events besides the Sprint Cup races include the Craftsman Truck series and the ARCA Re/Max Series. The current lap record at the superspeedway is held by Bill Elliott who ran a 0:44.998 lap in the 1987 Sprint Cup race.
