Richmond International Raceway Tickets

"America's Premier Short Track" is located in Richmond Virginia. The Richmond International Raceway is just three-quarters of a mile long, and features a D-shaped asphalt track. Along with races with the Indy Racing League and the U.S. Auto Club, RIR hosts events with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series. The track first opened in 1953 and has undergone several renovations or adjustments since then. Despite its reputation as a short track, the attendance is one of the larger ones; the facility seats about 112,000 spectators. The record for most wins at Richmond belongs to Richard Petty, who has 13 wins, followed by Darrell Waltrip and Rusty Wallace, each with six.
