Dover International Speedway Tickets
The Dover International Speedway is located in Dover, Delaware as part of a complex that also features harness racing and a hotel and casino. The track, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, hosts the second race each year in the Sprint Cup. The Dover track is a mile long with a concrete track rather than asphalt. As a result, it has earned a reputation for abusing the stock cars that race on it (The track has come to be called "The Monster Mile"). The facility opened in 1969 and seats 135,000 spectators. The speed record for a NASCAR race is held by Mark Martin, who ran 132.719 mph on September 21, 1997.
