Lowe's Motor Speedway Tickets (Charlotte)
In 1999, the former Charlotte Motor Speedway was renamed Lowe's Motor Speedway after the Lowe's company bought the track's naming rights. The 1.5 mile long quad-oval track was first constructed in 1959 and was the first stock car track to ever host a night time race (1992) since Raleigh did it in 1958. The entire track facilities seat more than 167,000 spectators. There is space for another 50,000 out in the infield. Since Charlotte is considered NASCAR's home, LMS enjoys a certain prestige among both racing professionals and fans. The track cost about $1.25 million to make. Currently the track's lap record is held by Tony Stewart, who ran a 0:24.49 lap in 1998.
