Atlanta Motor Speedway Tickets

The Atlanta Motor Speedway is actually located about 20 miles south of the city in Hampton, Georgia. Opened in 1960, AMS is a 1.54 mile quad-oval track in the heart of NASCAR country. The facility seats about 125,000 visitors. Among its claims to fame, in addition to its prominence on the NASCAR circuit, are the facts that portions of the movie "Smokey and the Bandit II" were filmed there and that it boasted NASCAR's highest speeds during most of the last decade and a half. It was also a former employer of President Jimmy Carter, who worked there as a ticket-taker as a youth.
